Artificial Grass Cleaning

Many homeowners are eager to install artificial grass lawns since they require just half the amount of care and upkeep that real grass lawns do. Synthetic grass does not require fertilization, mowing, aeration, or watering.

Just though it doesn’t have as many requirements for maintenance doesn’t imply it doesn’t need it. Children, dogs, animals, and even a large number of trees and plants may all influence how often you need to maintain your artificial grass. If you live in a very dusty or wet environment, your synthetic lawn’s cleaning and care requirements will be different.

Home treatments such as vinegar and water solutions, soap, or baking soda will not eliminate the source of the odor problem.

Artificial turf may be kept in good form for a long time with proper upkeep. Once a week, rinse your grass with plain water, and deep clean your lawn at least once a month using the instructions below.

  1. Dust, dirt, and leaves should all be removed. Use a stiff-bristled broom or a flexible grass rake.
  2. Make a solution of mild soap and water.
  3. Wet. Using a hose, clean the area.
  4. Apply the soap solution in parts with a long-handled deck brush.
  5. Rinse. Using your outdoor hose, thoroughly rinse. Any foam should be pushed to the edges and watered down.
  6. Repeat. Rinse the next part with your mild soap solution.
  7. Allow to air dry. Allow the entire turf area to dry before grooming the blades back into their upright posture using your rake or broom.

How Often to Clean

Depending on how much use your fake lawn receives, you’ll want to keep it clean on a regular basis. Cleaning your lawn once every two weeks or once a month is generally plenty for lawns that don’t get much traffic or use.
